Rasa Vinyasa: Exploring the attraction of divine love as well as the creative power of its shadow side, repulsion/aversion.
Our practice will involve embodying emotion, mind and body through a dynamic flow integrating the two states of being, attraction/attachment and repulsion/aversion.
Our vinyasa practice is designed to awaken states of bliss, divine love, and passion by accepting the embodied wholeness of our emotional and physical being. Through activating namaskars, we will unravel layers of our being arriving to a still and nurtured sense of center.
Our workshop includes writing sadhana and interactive lecture to access our energetic and gross aspects of mind/body awareness.
Thru a deep journey through the koshas and chakras, we learn to "embrace" our total selves, integrating past experiences with powerful mind/body practice. By tasting the rasa of our own authentic state of being, exploring its flow as movement of energy throughout your body, you will learn to ignite your deeper truths and seeds of potential on and off the mat.

Description
Join Micheline Berry for a comprehensive, empowering and inspired 9-month journey into the art and skill of teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Training is appropriate for both aspiring teachers as well as those who would like to seriously deepen their own practice. Our Prana Flow 200-hr Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training will provide you with a full-spectrum foundation to begin teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga with skill, creativity, intelligence and authenticity. You will learn from both, tradition and innovation.
Vinyasa Yoga embraces diversity. Micheline Berry’s Prana Flow 200hr Teacher Training will draw from Krishnamacharya’s teachings (Patanjali, Ashtanga’s 8-Limb Path & Iyengar-informed Alignment), Tantra Roots (Vijnanabhaïrava Tantra & Spandakarika), Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow Yoga system (Tantra Hatha Yoga), Micheline Berry’s own Teacher Empowerment Training, as well as eclectic and powerful contributions from somatics, yoga philosophy, mind-body psychology, yoga anatomy, and contemporary masters in yoga including SHIVA REA joining us as a special guest for one module!
An ancient technology of ecstasy, Vinyasa Flow Yoga creates a bridge from the mundane to the ecstatic, the ordinary to the sacred, the slothful to the awakened state of being through the vehicle of the soma (the non-verbal, direct experience of the body). In this living practice, layers of cultural, psychological and physiological contractions unwind, releasing a wellspring of creative energy (aka prana or shakti).
Becoming a yoga teacher is a deeply personal, healing journey towards remembering who we really are and returning home to our organic, life-affirming rhythms so that we may guide others to do the same. For the only way we can authentically guide others towards integrated embodiment is to commit ourselves to the work of awakening our own latent gifts and allowing them to thrive. Yoga is not just a path of asana and alignment… it is a path of living life as a vibrant, breathing, ever-evolving sacred art. Committing to the path of a yoga teacher is therefore, committing to the process embodying your own creative potential (shakti prana), allowing it to take shape in the world while inspiring others to do the same.
Our Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training will awaken the living, healing art within and give you the essential tools to actualize some of your deepest potentials and thrive as both a teacher and an artist of life. Start where you are. Compassion and a sense of humor required. Dive in!

Enjoying your Yoga practice? Ready to dive further into your practice of self-inquiry? Come experience authentic, deep relaxation through "yogic sleep with awareness."
iRest Yoga Nidra has been developed over the past twenty-six years by Richard Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist, author, researcher and yogic scholar, and is uniquely suitable for a Western audience. iRest (Integrative Restoration) is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life. By building a secure launching point for the body to come into a deep state of ease we are able to relax deeply into being with everything just as it is.
Extensive research has shown that iRest effectively supports the healing process across a broad range of populations. Currently, there are iRest programs in military hospitals across the U.S., as well as in correctional facilities, hospices, clinics, schools, and organizations supporting personal growth and well-being. In June of 2010, iRest was endorsed by the US Army Surgeon General and Defense Centers of Excellence as a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).
During your practice of iRest, you will be supported in a reclined position by bolsters and blankets as the facilitator takes you through a meditation that involves body sensing, intention setting, emotional awareness and the practice of finding an inner resource. No physical asana (postures) will be practiced.
This practice is suitable for ALL levels of practitioners as it is a guided meditation. Become more grounded, focused and at peace. Embody serenity.

For several millenia, yoga adepts have described the moment of spiritual liberation to occur when the Soul (Purusha), forever whole and content, is discriminated from the constantly fluctuating states of mind that we experience in our daily lives. Sage Patañjali, the author of the Yoga Sūtra (2nd-4th centuries C.E.), the classical work of Rājā Yoga, explicitly teaches us how the illusory nature of mind-activity keeps us from experiencing our true Being, which is usually obscured by the constant whirling of the mind (citta-vritti).
